The world we knew as children is still buried within us. When we were born we were perfect. We were connected to our world with love. Our world was full of enchantment and a sense of the miraculous. In these paintings I hope to convey what can only be experienced. Love is the intuitive knowledge of our hearts, it isn't material. Money can't buy it. Sex doesn't guarantee it. It has nothing at all to do with the physical world, but it can be expressed nonetheless. We experience it as kindness, giving, mercy, compassion, peace, joy, and acceptance. Thus I have titled these paintings to remind us what remains inside all of us. Our childlike self is the deepest sense of our being. This self may be hidden by fear and the travails of life, but who we really are can be rediscovered. Perception is a choice, a decision to willingly experience life with love.
